Fika Cafe is located at secluded corner of Arab Street and Beach Road.
I went there with my friend for brunch on a beautiful Saturday morning.
When we pushed the wooden door and stepped in the restaurant, it was quite empty as the business just started.
We chose a table that's near to the bar.
The name of the restaurant, Fika, it is a social institution in Sweden;
it means having a coffee break with one's colleagues, friends, date or family.
This restaurant is serving Swedish cuisine, it's similar to IKEA.
Fika is mainly decorated with white wooden furniture, it gives calm and relaxed atmosphere.
We ordered Fika's Breakfast set which includes bread, eggs, sausages, potatoes, tomato, lettuce and one cup of Fika Coffee Special.
It costs SGD 14.90.
This was the rich and aromatic Fika Coffee Special.
Simple ingredients with great combination, do they look appealling?
The sausages were normal but the sunny eggs were supremely well.
One of us ordered another set for breakfast.
Strawberry Cheese cake + Fika Coffee Special = SGD 9.90.
The strawberry cheese cake was not so sweet, I strongly recommend this.
We sat there to have a long chit chat.
Time flied, we felt like to trying more cakes.
Admittedly, the cakes are nice in Fika.
We ordered another set of high tea meal, Chocolate fudge cake + Fika Coffee Special, it costs SGD9.90.
Fika coffee serving size was too small, you will feel like ordering another drink after a while.
This friendly Fika Cafe has inside (non-smoking) and outside (smoking) area, both are isolated.
The second floor is more spacious, you may check with the cafe owner for orgainizing an event or birthday party there.
Apart from coffee, you may try their flower teas and Swedish famous meatballs.
Overall, it's a nice place to have a coffee break or light food.
Total bill we spent SGD42 for 2 persons.
