I received a toy camera Diana Mini as my birthday gift from my husband two months ago. Diana Mini did bring me a lot of fun in the past 2 months while I'm walking in the street or meeting up my friends. It's difficult to explain why I love photographying a lot but one thing I can share with you that many things beg me to photograph them :).
I fall in love with Diana Mini at the first sight.

Diana Mini does not require battery, she just needs a normal negative, slide or expired 35mm films. The good thing about Diana Mini is its light weight 253g. When I hang her on my neck, it just feel like a breath of air. Because of its mini size and feather weight, I bring her out all the times :). Another fun thing is I can choose half frame 72 shots or full frame 36 shots mode to play around. For a beginner as myself, half frame format with 72 shots can last longer. Diana Mini Specification : 1) feed with 35mm film 2) no battery required 3) exposure selector 'B' (night time and long exposure) and 'N' (bright sunny day time) 4) Cloudy and Sunny selector 5) distance selector : 0 - 0.6M, 1 - 2M, 2-4M and 6-infinity 6) photo format : half-frame (72 shots) or full-frame (36 shots) 7) fantastic overlapping 8) compatible with the stunning Diana Flash (it needs one AA battery) To hold Diana Mini on my hand like holding a piece of paper, thus my first roll of firms results are quite horrible. Most of the images were destroyed due to Diana features were still unfamiliar to me. Although there are some pitfalls about Diana Mini when I started to shoot : 1) forgot to remove the cap before shooting 2) forgot to alter 'B' mode while taking photos under bright sunlight 3) hand shaking 4) photos are under exposure. Diana Mini works well while condition is bright. I still have strong connection and faith on Diana Mini albeit I was frustrated at my first roll color film, I believe she can produce amazingly dreamy and vintage results.
