The magnitude 9.0 earthquake and following tsunami occurred in Japan on March 11th, 2011.
My heart had a break down when read the newspaper in the past few days. 
Poetry could capture best the situation.

在第一航道的候機室,邊觀賞著太陽徐徐的升起,邊等待著7點45分班機飛往馬來西亞。
從落地窗往外看,繁忙的樟宜機場,每10分鐘左右,飛機在跑道上或是起飛或是降落。
窗外的天空,漸漸地由暗變亮,天空的景色極美。
第一次在機場內看日出。喜歡清晨的寧靜,大地復甦,經過一夜休眠,萬物又活絡起來,展開新的一天。
請了兩天假,加上週休兩天,公假一天,五天長假,沒有安排外出活動,只待在屋內好好放空,好好的休息。
清晨4點半起床,帶著滿臉的倦怠,返鄉補眠5天。

Dec, 28th
I pampered myself with 2 pants, 5 blouses at Mango's SALE last night.
Shopping done and back to real life, I went to run like the hell in order to make some empty space for my lovely clothes.
Set a new goal for the sake of the lovely pants and clothes.
Haruki Murakami (村上春树) run 60km for a week, I just want to do half of his effort.
Start to run 30km in a week.

My younger sister visited to Singapore during her school holiday. I wanted to treat her some special food.  So, we went to Din Tai Fung for dinner.
Old people said eat ginger with small amount everyday is good for health. Ginger slices with black vinegar. Both go good with steam dumpling.
My favorite dish 紅油抄手, shrimp wanton in red chili oil and soya sauce. Fresh shrimp is the SOUL of this dish. When you bite them slowly in your mouth, you can feel the shrimp texture is solid and chewier. The sauce is the SPIRIT of this dish. Without the SPIRIT, the dish won't be completed.
I like 紅油抄手 so much!!!!!
A good appetizer of the meal, crunchy cucumber in Sichuan chili oil, vinegar and garlic.
My sis loved the sauce so much, even ate the dumpling with Sichuan sauce. Who can resist it? If I were at home, definitely hold the whole plate and put on my lips to finish all the Sichuan chili sauce.
Oh friends, don’t waste a drop of it.

I am a big sucker for steam dumpling. It's hard to find cheap steam dumpling in Singapore. Perhaps, there are not many people really know how to make nice dumpling. Sometimes, I want to pamper myself with good food especially I want to pamper myself after a long period of work hard.
The beef was soft enough but soup's still lacking some in-depth favor.
Mmmmmhhh,
I think the best braised beef noodles can only be found in Taiwan.

I can't resisit the art of the dessert
even though I am not a sweet tooth person. When I see the charming and delicate dessert,
they chase away my dull day.
Found a new place for hang out, Honeymoon. It is a newly open dessert restaurant at Bugis Junction.
Compare to normal hawker centre, the food is a little bit pricey here due to location and air-con provided.
The way they prepare the dessert is quite sophiscated and skillful.
For those who love dessert, you may surprise by their variety options, such as Chinese style dessert,
Thai black glutinous, sweet ball-crushed, Tofu pudding, sago,
grass jelly, snacks and durian special.
This was my first time visiting Honeymoon with my friends.
We indulged ourselves with black sesame soup, walnut paste soup,
red bean soup and these delicate glutinous rice balls with coarsely sugar, peanuts and coconuts.
Please trust me, the dessert look tantalizing and really taste good!

I am sick
     after two days' traveling
        it's flu season coming
people are coughing
     and viruses are everywhere spreading
I was intruded by virus
     lying on the bed to have one day break
        head is not mine
legs are not mine
     body is not mine
I felt dizzy
     and energyless
        throat is not mine
nose is not mine
     heavy phlegm in the throat
        and with stuffy nose
I woke up and
    went to see doctor to get some healthy care
       SGD28 for medical consultant
got the tablets for removal of phlegm
     and nose congestion
I did not go to work
     rest at home and cook chicken ABC soup
        took the tablets with plenty of fluid
illness decreased and my brain's light
     promise my body to take more fruit.

                  without pressing,
                               discovered SD card

I have been promising my friends and colleagues to share the marination recipe for BBQ chicken. It is a very simple recipe that everyone can do it for home BBQ.

About buying spices:
Spicy is the crucial ingredient to give decent flavor to the food. You can easily buy various of spices or ready to cook sauces in the supermarket nowadays. Above is a Northern Indian spice for marinating chicken. I usually go to Mustafa to buy spices.

Meat to prepare:
1) 5kg fresh chicken thighs or breasts - Skin is removed as I was trying for something healthier.
2) 1kg boneless chicken cube

Ingredients:
1. 300g yogurt
2. 100g masala
3. 2 spoons of ginger juice
4. 3 spoons of garlic paste
5. 3 table spoons of oil
6. 1 lemon (juiced)

As masala is already salty, thus need not add salt for the marination.

Combine above 6 ingredients in a large bowl. Add the chicken breasts. Refrigerate few hours or overnight.



BBQ Prepare Work :
Soak the bamboo sticks in the water for 1- 2 hours in order to prevent it gets burn on the BBQ pit.

Apart from chicken meat, you can prepare more meat for BBQ, for example, ham, meat ball and sausages.



If food appearance is your primary concern, I would suggest you to dress the BBQ meat with some vegetables and fruits. It certainty tastes good and goes well with grill chicken.

BBQ Vegetables and Fruits:
1. Pineapple
2. Red, Green and Yellow Capsicum
3. Onion
4. Cucumber
5. Leek
6. Broccoli
7. Cauliflower
8. Short Beans

Soya Sauce preparation for vegetables:
1. 1/2 cup of soya sauce
2. 5 spoons of brown sugar
3. 1 glove of garlic (mashed)
4. 2 spoons of rice wine

Add above 4 ingredients in the small pot and heat until mixing evenly.



When you start to grill, you can brush some soya sauce on the vegetables.

Brush the rack with butter or oil to prevent the chicken from sticking. Grill the mean for about 5 minutes, until nicely browned or caramelized.



After the chicken cooked through, squeeze some lemon juice on the chicken and serve as room temperature. Absolutely delightful!
